Senigallia
Senigallia is not just a mere seaside resort founded in the early years of the last century. Its roots go deeper into history, for it was the first colony of the Gauls, Sena Gallica, situated on the Adriatic: hence its name. Its history exudes the scent of the sea breeze that crept along the streets, giving life to the city it is today.
From the most exposed point of the Levante pier, where the Penelope of Senigallia waits in front of the waves for Ulysses to return, proceed through the historic centre with its sights to be admired at leisure.
Stroll under the long Portici Ercolani that run along the Misa River as the sunset tinges the sky in red and orange tones.
Then Palazzo del Duca and the Rocca Roveresca in front of it, recalling the wealth and power of the Della Rovere family, as far as the splendour of the Church of the Cross: a golden triumph of Baroque art.
Just outside the city is the monumental complex of the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, with the convent of the same name next to it, where peace and serenity can be found inside the cloister.
The thing that most amazes those who visit Le Marche is its profound diversity. A very long coastline with silky beaches and limpid waters, to go up towards the first hills overlooking the coast and into the hinterland where, every now and then, in the midst of the most luxuriant nature, crenelated walls of castles or watchtowers spring up.

Arcevia
A medieval complex perched on Monte Cischiano, consisting of no less than nine castles: Avacelli, Castiglioni, Palazzo, Caudino, Piticchio, Montale, San Pietro, Loretello and Nidastore.
Corinaldo
Home to such myths as that of Scuretto, it is one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, surrounded by walls built in the 15th century that can be walked upon. Do not miss the Sanctuary of Santa Maria Goretti, the steps of the Piaggia where right in the middle there is the Pozzo della Polenta (Polenta Well), where the dispute of the same name is re-enacted every year.
Offagna
A true immersion in the Middle Ages right in the middle of the hills of the Terra dei Castelli, this majestic medieval fortress stands unchallenged. A place where time has stood still and it still seems as if one can hear the trumpets blaring for the knights to pass over the drawbridge.
Urbino
You cannot say you have had a holiday in Le Marche without visiting the city of Raphael, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and open-air museum: Urbino reveals the Renaissance to anyone who wants to cross the famous little towers at its entrance.
Gradara
To walk along the narrow streets of this ancient village feels like stepping back in time. The village is home to the splendid castle where Paolo and Francesca's fateful love affair was consummated, which can be revisited along the halls and rooms.
San Leo
Climb to the Fortress to overlook the entire Montefeltro region as far as the sea. An incomparable view, a stern fortress where the enigmatic alchemist Alessandro Count di Cagliostro spent his last days.
